Segment 6
Braking Point | Gear | Minimum speed |
120 metres before the apex | 2 | 109 km/h |
As you approach this right-hand corner, focus on your braking technique. Begin braking approximately 120 meters before the apex, gradually applying the brakes to slow the car down to the minimum speed of 109 km/h. Maintain a smooth, consistent brake pressure throughout the braking zone, and be sure to trail brake slightly as you turn in to the corner. Once you reach the apex, smoothly transition to full throttle application, allowing the car to accelerate out of the corner. Remember to keep the car in 2nd gear throughout this segment. By executing a well-timed and controlled braking phase, you'll be able to carry good speed through the corner and maximize your exit velocity.
